K. A. Hays has published poetry, fiction, and translation widely in literary journals and magazines, including Southern Review, American Poetry Review, Hudson Review, Gray's Sporting Journal, Northern Woodlands, Black Warrior Review and elsewhere. A poem for her first book, Dear Apocalypse (Carnegie Mellon 2009) was reprinted in The Best American Poetry 2009. Her second book Early Creatures, Native Gods is due to appear in 2012. As an undergraduate, hays studied English literature at Bucknell and Oxford universities. She went on to earn a graduate degree in the literary arts at Brown. Hays currently teaches creative writing at Bucknell and lives in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
