A unique literary experience
in a beautiful setting
— Robert Frost’s homestead in Franconia, New Hampshire

Robert and Elinor Frost owned this house from 1915 to 1920,and some of the poet's
most enduring poems were written here. Since 1977 a contemporary poet
has been awarded a residency each summer.

“There is no other poetic institution in the United States that
feels more consecrated to the poem itself.”
Donald Hall, 14th U.S. Poet Laureate
